The real problem
You do not need another collection of exercises. You need someone to see what you cannot: weak technique, poor progression, inconsistent nutrition and the habits keeping you stuck.
IMSTRONG replaces guesswork with a clear standard. Every rep has a reason. Every week has a target. Every result gets measured.

↗The IMSTRONG system
A complete coaching process for busy men who want to lose fat, build strength and know exactly what they are doing.
Every rep is coached: positioning, joint angles, tempo, bracing and intent. You stop moving weight and start training properly.

Clear calorie and protein targets, practical food choices and daily accountability. No crash diet. No pretending weekends do not count.

Weight trends, waist, photos, strength and adherence are reviewed every week. If the evidence says adjust, we adjust.

Your coach
I didn’t start strong. I built it.
I didn’t get into training because I was naturally big or strong. Quite the opposite.
At one point, life put me in a position where I had to work 13- and 14-hour shifts, including nights. My eating was all over the place, and my weight dropped to 69 kg. Then I saw myself in a photo. Skinny arms, bones showing and my clothes hanging off me. People were taking the piss, but honestly, I didn’t like what I saw either.
That photo gave me the kick I needed.
I started training in a garage and couldn’t even bench 20 kg. I had no coach and didn’t really know what I was doing, so I started learning. Training, calories, protein, nutrition—what worked, what didn’t and why. There was plenty of trial and error, but I kept going and built everything from the ground up.
Over the years, I tried bodybuilding, powerlifting and a bit of strongman. At my biggest and strongest, I weighed 145 kg. I later cut down to 110 kg and now sit at around 120 kg. I also won the Andy Bolton Deadlift Challenge in the Novice Heavyweight category, pulling 280 kg—20 kg more than the next competitor.
I’m 41 now, and I still train. I still test different methods and I’m still learning through courses, books, webinars and seminars.
I’m a qualified Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Boxercise Instructor and Group Exercise Instructor. I also hold certifications in Diagnosing Weak Links in Strength Training (Biomechanics) and Emergency First Aid.
Qualifications are only part of it.
My clients get results because I’ve spent more than 15 years under the bar learning this properly. I’ve made mistakes, tested different approaches and built myself from a skinny 69 kg beginner who couldn’t bench 20 kg into the man and coach I am today.
I genuinely give a shit about the people I coach.
You’re not just another hour in my diary. I pay attention, I look for the small things holding you back and I take your progress personally. Every session has a purpose. Every programme has a reason behind it. If something isn’t working, we change it.
No random workouts. No standing around counting reps. Just proper coaching from someone who has lived it himself.
Personal training packages
Choose the level of in-person coaching that fits your schedule, goals and budget.
Programme length
All personal training packages run in structured 8- or 12-week blocks.
The most suitable programme length will be agreed during your consultation and will depend on your goals, starting point, availability and preferred training frequency.
Payments are collected every four weeks for the duration of your chosen programme. All sessions are subject to availability and the coaching cancellation policy. No guesswork
Yes. You do not need to get fit before you start. Every session is built around your current level, and every exercise is coached properly from day one.
No. You will have clear calorie and protein targets plus practical guidance that fits work, family and weekends. The goal is consistency, not a temporary perfect diet.
Most clients feel stronger and more in control within the first few weeks. Visible body-composition changes typically build across 8–12 weeks when training and nutrition targets are followed.
We deal with it immediately. The plan is adjusted where needed, the next action is made clear, and you get back to work without turning one bad day into a bad month.
It depends on your goal, starting point, training experience and what you can do outside your coached sessions. For most people, two fully coached sessions per week—combined with the programme and nutrition guidance—are enough to achieve very good results. I will recommend the right frequency during your consultation.
Face-to-face personal training takes place at Total Fitness Oldham, Daniel Street, Oldham, OL1 3NS. Availability is confirmed during your initial conversation.
