Coached in Oldham / IMSTRONGWhy this matters
Long working hours, family responsibilities, old injuries and years away from training can leave you heavier, weaker and unsure where to start. Trying to train exactly as you did in your twenties usually makes the problem worse.
I am 41 and I understand the difference between training hard and training recklessly. The goal is to rebuild your strength, reduce your waist and create a routine your real life can support.

Strength after 40
After 40, training is not only about what you lift. It is about having the strength, energy and confidence to show up for your family, keep doing the things you enjoy and stay capable for the years ahead.
The usual approach
The IMSTRONG standard
Built for men 40+
This is one-to-one coaching for men who want clear standards without pretending work, family, recovery and previous injuries do not exist.
The process
Clear actions. Proper coaching. Progress reviewed against evidence, not feelings.
I look at your training history, current ability, movement, strength, goals and the limitations that need to be respected.
You learn the positions, bracing, tempo and movement standards that make training productive again.
Loads, volume and exercise difficulty increase from evidence—not ego—while nutrition supports your body-composition goal.
I adjust the plan around work, family and recovery so one difficult week does not become another lost year.
“After a 15-year layoff and problems with my knee and shoulder, Mariusz explained every exercise, the reason behind it and adjusted everything to my ability. I feel confident he will get me where I need to be.”

Straight answers
No. You start from your current level. I adjust exercise choice, load and progression to your ability so you can build confidence and capacity without trying to prove anything on day one.
I can adapt training around many previous injuries and movement limitations within my scope as a personal trainer. Pain, new symptoms or medical concerns may need assessment and clearance from an appropriate healthcare professional.
It depends on your goal, experience and schedule. For most people, two coached sessions per week alongside the programme and nutrition guidance can produce very good results.
Many men can improve strength while reducing body fat, especially when returning after a break or starting structured training for the first time. The plan combines resistance training, protein, a controlled calorie target and consistent activity.
